The Point: Project would add 13 miles to the existing trail system between Eastvale and Corona

Heads up, cyclists, runners, walkers and equestrians: Environmental studies are nearing completion for a 13-mile extension of the Santa Ana River Trail. RCTC is working with the Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District, the US Army Corps of Engineers, the County of Riverside, the City of Corona, the City of Norco and the City of Eastvale to expand this popular trail.

The Draft Environmental Document is expected to be available for public review this spring. If environmental approvals are secured, work could begin on the first of five phases of the project later this year. Phase 1 proposes to extend the existing trail at the end of Dearborn Street/Grapewin Street in Eastvale west approximately 1.2 miles to connect with the trail along the northbound side of River Road.
