RCTC wants your input on the NEW name of the 79 Realignment Project.
RCTC is seeking community input to help name a new expressway in the Hemet, San Jacinto, and Winchester area, extending from Ramona Expressway to Newport Road. The project currently in development is referred to as the SR-79 Realignment Project. Since the project is proceeding as a county expressway rather than a state facility, RCTC needs your help in naming this new expressway in Riverside County.
The new name will need to reflect the identity of the local community. A panel of local leaders will filter the proposed names and make a choice in early 2026.
The survey closes Friday, October 24, 2025.

The project is designed to improve safety and connectivity for the growing communities of Winchester, Hemet, San Jacinto, and surrounding areas in Riverside County.
