Full Weeknight Closures of Westbound 91 Begin Next Week
The Riverside County Transportation Commission’s 71/91 Interchange Project will require full weeknight (Monday – Wednesday) closures of westbound 91 between the 71 and Green River Rd. in Corona beginning Monday, December 2, 2024. Closures are scheduled through Wednesday, December 18, 2024.
Due to the holidays, no closures will be scheduled from December 20 through January 1, 2025. The full weeknight westbound 91 closures are anticipated to restart on Monday, January 6, 2025. Please be on the lookout for more information.

Follow the project:
The Riverside County Transportation Commission, in partnership with Caltrans, is reconstructing the 71/91 Interchange Project in Corona.
The new non-tolled interchange is designed to improve safety, expand access to other modes of travel, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance traffic flow, and support continued movement of native wildlife through the area. Construction will take place from early 2023 to 2025.

Upcoming Full Westbound 91 Closures
The 71/91 Interchange Project will resume nightly full closures (Monday through Wednesday) of the westbound 91 on Tuesday, January 2 through Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Due to the holidays, no closures are scheduled through January 1, 2024. Closures will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Motorists will need to use the 71, 60, to 57 as alternate routes. For motorists who need to access Green River Road, they may do so by exiting Auto Center Dr./Serfas Club Dr. Fire, police, and emergency responders will have access. We are also informing residents and businesses of detours, traffic expectations, and to allow extra travel time.

Detour routes for all above closures will be maintained at all times. Schedule is subject to change, based on weather and other factors.

Weeknight (Monday - Wednesday) full closures of westbound 91 are scheduled from Monday, December 2 through Wednesday, December 18.
Due to the holidays, no closures will be scheduled from December 20 through January 1, 2025. The westbound 91 full nightly closure are anticipated to restart on Monday, January 6, 2025.
Motorists are highly encouraged to avoid the westbound 91 by using the northbound 71 to westbound 60 to southbound 57 to get around the closure.
