The Riverside County Transportation Commission, in partnership with Caltrans, is reconstructing the 71/91 Interchange Project in Corona.
The new non-tolled interchange is designed to improve safety, expand access to other modes of travel, reduce greenhouse gas emissions, enhance traffic flow, and support continued movement of native wildlife through the area. Construction will take place from early 2023 to 2025.

Upcoming Full Westbound 91 Closures
The 71/91 Interchange Project will resume nightly full closures (Monday through Wednesday) of the westbound 91 on Tuesday, January 2 through Wednesday, January 24, 2024.
Due to the holidays, no closures are scheduled through January 1, 2024. Closures will resume on Tuesday, January 2, 2024.
Motorists will need to use the 71, 60, to 57 as alternate routes. For motorists who need to access Green River Road, they may do so by exiting Auto Center Dr./Serfas Club Dr. Fire, police, and emergency responders will have access. We are also informing residents and businesses of detours, traffic expectations, and to allow extra travel time.

Connector and Ramp Closures
Detour routes for all above closures will be maintained at all times. Schedule is subject to change, based on weather and other factors.

A nighttime full closure of the eastbound and westbound 91 to northbound 71 connectors are scheduled for Friday, September 6.
Motorists traveling to destinations along the 71 such as Chino, Chino Hills, and Pomona are encouraged to use alternate routes and avoid the 71/91 interchange.
