Called the Palms to Pines Highway in the east, State Route 74 connects the Coachella Valley with the Hemet/San Jacinto area to the west. From the Hemet/San Jacinto area, State Route 74 travels east to I-215, then from the City of Perris, it travels southwest through Lake Elsinore to the coast at San Juan Capistrano.
