The Point: Halo fans can travel round-trip from Riverside County for $7 or less

Spring is in the air, which means it’s time to play baseball! Avoid the traffic and save on gas and parking with Metrolink’s special Angels Express train to all Angels Friday evening home games, starting April 6. For $7 or less, depending upon the departure station, Riverside County baseball lovers can take the Angels Express Fan Train to Friday night home games that start at 7:07 p.m.

Fans can catch a train from any of the eight Riverside County Metrolink stations (Perris South through Corona-West) on Friday afternoons (see website for schedule). Riders exit the train at the Anaheim-ARTIC station, just steps away from Angel Stadium.

Tickets can be purchased on game days two convenient ways:

  • Mobile Tickets: Buy through the Metrolink app by downloading the free app from Google Play or the Apple App store. Angels Express tickets will be located under Anaheim as a destination or origin. Fans using the mobile app must activate the ticket prior to boarding the train.
  • Paper Tickets: Buy at a Metrolink ticket vending machine by selecting “Angels Express” on the home screen.

Fares are $7 round-trip for adults, $6 for seniors or riders with disabilities, $4 for youth ages 6-18, and free to children 5 and under with each fare-paying adult (limit three children per adult).

Trains return to Riverside County 30 minutes after the games end, so don’t miss the train home!

RCTC is part of the five-county Metrolink system, which provides commuter rail service in Riverside, Orange, San Bernardino, Los Angeles and Ventura counties. Last year, the Fan Train was expanded to include Perris. RCTC encourages Angels fans to give Metrolink a try for this fun event.
